‘Dolls House’, is an Art Installation by DreamStudio Artists:
Lead - Maureen Kendal collaborating with Jacob Deakin, Caitriona McAllister, Chloe Maybank, Freddie Sanders and Danny Allen.
This artwork is haunted by dreams, childhood memories, trauma, gestures of the uncanny and states of consciousness, surreal narratives of migration and transition. Visitors view these rooms of imagination through windows, open doors and lighting : 'On the Beach', 'Garden-River', 'Space Over Time', 'Lunar Dreams', 'Lost Languages', 'Engine Hub Heart'. Exploring temporal atmospheres through mixed media, audio-visual and creative computing systems.
Audiences were invited to reminisce, journey through the Dolls’ House, room by room , unravelling the stories in transition, integrating materials from the past with new technologies.
Sept 2023.
Dolls House Artists will be presenting their academic paper at EVA conference 2024 in July.
